Synthesis, functionalisation and study of calixarenes

Because of their high degree of preorganisation, calixarene derivatives can form highly stable complexes with a wide range of metal cations. A large variety of such calixarenes have been synthesised and used various applications such as extraction [1], [2], [3], depollution [4], [5], [6] and therapy. [7]
