Samwise is the stand alone software used to communicate with the digitiser during the validation phase.

Samwise offers a graphical user interface to modify any parameters of the digitiser cards, it allows data acquisition of oscillograms as well as ADC and energy histograms. Data and parameters can be locally saved between sessions.
Samwise works with the last version of the VHDL code.

Tutorials :
- First steps : learn how to launch the application, connect to the modules, change the cards settings and save the settings
- Oscilloscope mode : learn how to launch and oscillogram acquisition adn modify parameters on the fly
- ADC mode : learn how to build an ADC histogram
- Energy mode : not available yet

Download (15Mo) :

Zip - 14.8 Mo
Samwise - December 07
Update : cyclical save of histograms.

Requirements :
- Windows 2000 or Windows XP (not tested on other platforms)
- Java JRE version 1.5 or 1.6 (available at Java web site, please select Java Runtime Environnement 1.6)
- Screen resolution 1 024x768 minimum
- 1 Go of RAM

Notes :
- If some abnormal termination (crash), any further startup can block showing some error message. In this case, it is necessary to remove/delete the whole ".samwise" directory located in ’C :\Documents & settings\LOGIN\Application Data\’ ( or \home\LOGIN\ on Linux platform).
- Under Linux, the file ’samwise’ located in the ’’\samwise\bin’ subdirectory of the installation directory must be made executable (chmod command) and then used in order to launch Samwise.
