Abstract :
The atomic nucleus is a microscopic object and shows various collective excitations. The wobbling motion is one of such excitations specific for triaxially deformed nuclei. The framework of the cranked mean-field plus RPA approach can be equally well applied for axially symmetric rotating nuclei.
In this talk I would like to discuss yet another collective excitations ; the precession, which is a rotational motion of symmetric top, and the gamma-vibration by using the same microscopic approach.
